It started in 1998 at a language school in Canada. From 2001 the founder ran study-abroad agencies covering the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Malta, placing more than 8,000 learners and comparing the curricula of close to 500 language institutions.

The same scene kept repeating. A student writing hard whose score would not move. A student who took correction after correction and still lost marks in the same place at the next sitting. The obstacle was never effort — it was that nobody was telling them what to fix against a consistent standard.

That led to building TOEIC and IELTS programmes and a repetition-based personal training system, run in person for years. Writing PT moves that method to writing. It is not a service that rewrites your essay for you; it is a training tool that tells you what to change and why, against the same standard every time.

Company

The same standard, often, with a record

Writing PT exists so that someone preparing for IELTS or TOEFL Writing can see the problems in their own answer.

  • Show the standard before the score

Every score names the criterion and the descriptor it matches. A score without its basis is useless for training.

  • Do not overstate

Automatic scoring is a prediction. We do not claim it guarantees an official result, and we never present research targets as achieved performance.

  • The writing belongs to the writer

You keep the rights to what you submit. We process it only as far as scoring and service delivery require, and we disclose every processor and cross-border transfer in the privacy policy.

Scores rise on accurate diagnosis, not on more pages written.
