1. Legal basis

This policy sets out the cancellation and refund rules for the subscription service operated by Writing PT (the "Company"), in accordance with the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Content Industry Promotion Act and other applicable Korean law.

Anything not covered here is governed by the Terms of Service and applicable law.

2. Nature of the subscription

The Company sells only monthly subscriptions that renew automatically. It does not sell credit packs or prepaid bundles.

A subscription is digital content delivered immediately online. Once you have taken a mock test and viewed the result, that attempt has been delivered and cannot be returned to its original state.

The amount payable for each plan is the amount shown on the pricing page.

3. Free trial and the first charge

Registering a subscription starts a 7-day free trial, during which your first mock test is free.

If you cancel before the trial ends, nothing is charged. You are not billed for the mock test you took free of charge during the trial either.

If you do not cancel within the trial, the first charge is made on the day the trial ends, and subsequent charges follow on the same day each month.

The Company emails you in advance with the date and amount of the first charge.

4. Payment method

Subscription fees are charged through the payment gateway PortOne, using KakaoPay recurring payment.

Recurring charges are made using the billing key issued when you subscribe. The Company does not store card numbers or other payment credentials.

5. How to cancel

You can cancel yourself at any time from subscription management in your account settings. There is no need to call anyone or submit any paperwork.

Cancellation is applied immediately, no further charge is made from the next billing period, and there is no cancellation fee.

You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you want that payment refunded, the rules below apply.

6. Refund rules

Refunds are assessed by the date of the charge and by whether the billing period has been used.

The free mock test provided during the trial is never deducted when calculating a refund.

Where a promotion or discount applied, the refund is calculated from the amount actually paid.

  • Within 7 days of the charge, with no mock test taken in that billing period: the full amount is refunded.
  • Standard plan, with attempts already used: the value of the attempts used is deducted and the remainder is refunded. (Refund = amount paid x remaining attempts / monthly allowance.)
  • Pro plan, with attempts already used: because attempts are unmetered, the refund is calculated pro rata by day. (Refund = amount paid x remaining days / total days in the billing period.)
  • More than 7 days after the charge: the same pro rata or per-attempt calculation applies to the unused remainder.

7. Limits on withdrawal of subscription

Under Article 17(2) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the right to withdraw is limited for digital content delivered immediately online to the extent that it has already been used.

In this Service, "already used" means a mock test attempt for which automated scoring or feedback has been delivered. Those attempts are excluded from a refund, while the unused remainder is refunded under section 6.

The Company discloses this limitation on the subscription screen and obtains your acknowledgement before you subscribe. If the Company fails to give that notice and obtain acknowledgement, the limitation does not apply.

8. How refunds are processed

To request a refund, apply from your account settings page or email bestreits@gmail.com with the email address on the account and the date of the charge.

The Company confirms eligibility and the amount within 3 business days of receiving your request, and refunds the confirmed amount to the original payment method.

Processing takes a further 3 to 5 business days. Depending on the payment method or the financial institution, the money may take longer to appear, and we will keep you informed if it does.

Where a refund to the original payment method is not possible, the Company refunds to a bank account you nominate. Account details supplied for that purpose are used only for the refund and destroyed afterwards.

9. When the Company is at fault

If a system failure or an operational problem on the side of the Company prevents normal use of the Service, the Company either extends your subscription by the affected period or refunds the corresponding amount, at your choice.

If a failure on our side means a response was not saved or was not scored, that attempt is not counted against your allowance and is restored so you can take it again.

Where the Company is at fault, the deduction for used attempts under section 6 does not apply, and the calculation is based on the whole period that was unavailable.

10. Failed payments and expiry

If a recurring charge fails because of insufficient funds, a suspended payment method or a similar reason, the Company retries for a limited period and emails you on each attempt.

If payment still does not succeed, the subscription does not renew and access to paid features stops. No cancellation fee arises.

Even after a subscription expires, the responses and scoring records already in your account remain available to you until you close the account.
